From the academic year 2009 onwards SITD has developed a tie up with United Insurance Company Limited for providing life insurance policy to our Students and EM Card holders. The policy will cover the beneficiaries as defined by SITD i.e. the Student who victim who get registered with various courses of SITD at its various branches.

SITD will submit the group proposal from giving the names of the beneficiaries as and when the policy is commenced. This will be in form of Certificate format as prepared by SITD. (Subsequent inclusions and exclusions will be incorporated as and when there are changes in the policy. The procedural details such as payment of premium and issuance of document will be as per mutual agreement between SITD and UIIC.)

The Insurance Company will issue individual beneficiaries certificate of insurance. This will be referred to as and when the claims are reported.

The cover will be in respect of Janata Group Accident Policy. It will cover the (Death, Permanent Total Disablement).The sum insured For the Policy is Rupees One Lakh.

The policy proposed has also segments of natural calamities like fire, earthquake, flood, cyclone, lightning, storm, tornado, landslide, typhoon, huddicane, riots and civil commotion, inundation, explosion, strike, malicious damage, aircraft damage, and tempest.

SITD will be the nodal agency so far as claim settlement and other related issues are concerned
